I am a Microsoft Windows user and often use WinXP professional edition for my day to day online activity. While working I often gets application stuck and displaying not responding. It does not respond to any keyboard shortcut (ALT+F4) to kill the application.
I have to open task manager to look for application and click on “End Task”. This sometimes can be tedious if there are multiple applications not responding. There is a quick way available to do this task in double click as well.

I was browsing Microsoft.com and found the command Taskkill which can be used to kill applications with a shortcut.
- Right click while on your desktop and select new->shortcut
- In the wizard, enter the following as the location (Quotes included):
taskkill.exe /f /fi "status eq not responding"
When you double click the shortcut, your pc will automatically identify and terminate any programs that are “Not Responding.”
