I know most of us needed some tool sometime or other to uncover hidden password behind asterisks on password dialog boxes or on web pages. I am going to list here two most popular freeware tools.
Asterisk key is a free password revealing tool which reveals passwords behind asterisks quickly and easily.
Download this great tool from here and install it. Click on ariskkey.exe from the passware folder to launch it.
click on Recover tab, which will start searching for password edit boxes and open web pages for passwords and reveal them on the fly.
Reveal is a password unmasking tool that works by enumerates through all open windows in the system, looking for any window that contains the “Password” edit box. When it comes across such a window, it reveals the password by replacing the asterisk characters with the actual password.
This tool changes the password text boxes to normal text boxes.
