Google Calendar: Receive Event Notifications through SMS

With Google Calendar, it’s easy to organize your schedule. It can help you to keep track of daily important events all in one place.

Google calendar also provide you the facility to receive event notification through SMS.

Firstly you need to register your mobile number

  1. Log in to Google Calendar
  2. Click settings link in the upper right corner
  3. Click on Mobile Setup
  4. Input your country and mobile number
  5. Click on Send Verification Code
  6. Receive the SMS message on your mobile
  7. Insert your verification code and click Finish Setup
  8. Your mobile number is successfully registered now

Next, select what notifications you want to receive as SMS on your mobile.

  1. Click Settings link in the upper right corner
  2. Click on Calendar on the Calendar Settings
  3. Click on Notification link to modify notification setting.
  4. Click the SMS checkbox to activate the notification

Now you are all set to receive SMS notification of your personalized Google Calendar.
